Internet Instruction!

Oh, technological wonders! Since the time Apple released iChat AV, I have offered online, over the internet, face-to-face, audio and visual, fiddling and violin instruction! With improved technology, and especially because of almost ten years experience using this method of face-to-face, or even knee-to-knee instructional delivery, I am able to truthfully say; I can effectively teach Texas Style Fiddling world-wide.

Last fall, I received an email from the parents of a new online student which said, "Our daughter said “that was fun” when she finished the lesson and my boy said “man, she is kid friendly”. What a breath of fresh air. Thanks again." I replied to the parents asking permission to quote them. They responded, "Yeah you are welcome to use them. We can provide more if you want. The kids went on and on." About seven months later, one of the kids who had taken fiddle lessons prior to joining me online, placed first in a contest against seventy-one competitors. She was delighted; it was her first, first place finish.

One of my online violin students who has been with me for several years now, sits first chair in her high school orchestra. We have never been in the same room together.

Of course the numbers change, but many of my students have become all around Colorado State Fiddling Champions as well as in their respective age groups, some have become Regional Champions, and too many to count have won other contests or placed in some of the top positions at the National Championships. Twelve have had the devotion to become National Champions in their age divisions.
